Siamese Cat Mystery Series Underway

Hi there!

It's been a little while since our last post. We've been busy as usual. In the midst of writing, we've updated the cover to A Yen for Murder. This is it! What do you think? We love it. Book 2 is on preorder at Amazon.com, called Lights, Camera, Murder. And we've already done a basic outline of Book 3. Have no fear, the next Z & C mystery is also underway, called What The Dead Said.

Yours truly,

Claire

A call for UNWED & DEAD reviews.

I'm relaunching the first in The Dead Ex Files series, starring investigative reporter Lacey Ling and her dead ex-boyfriend Victor St. John. I want to be more organized this time around, by getting reviews within the week it's released. I've learned about this neat website called Book Funnel that allows readers to download advance review ebooks for a limited time.

If you're interested in being one of the select readers who will have access to this story before anybody else, and for free, sign up by clicking the link above. It will take you to my Google Docs form!

Soooo many books we're publishing!

Claire here! Hi, guys! I've joined a PhD-level writing/publishing course called Phoenix Prime. What I'm learning about the business is amazing. I've been publishing a lot lately with my mom Zoey, but things have ramped up even more! We're going to produce so many mysteries by mid-May, you will wonder just how in the heck we're doing it. I learned from my course that my personality is Aliveness + Workability, which--by what my teacher tells me--means I love starting new projects and can be a total workaholic. I don't want to be too much of a workaholic, since I have so many fun plans with my mother, but still... my workload is insane.

Here's just a few covers to show you some of the fun. ALREADY RELEASED: A Model Murder. Order it HERE. ON PREORDER: The Howliday Inn. Preorder it HERE. COMING SOON: The Menopause Murder Society. And just so you know, 2 more Z & C Mysteries are in the works!! Yes, not just The Howliday Inn, but A Ghostly Dare and What The Dead Said.

What do you think looks most exciting? Let us know.

Hey, check out my new mystery Heaven Must Wait, the first in The Dead Ex Files series, and co-written with my writer friend Stan Crowe. And don't worry, The Howliday Inn is coming soon, written with my mother, another Z & C Mystery :)

ABOUT THE BOOK:

Victor St. John thinks stunning news reporter Lacey Ling is his match made in Heaven, even after she dumps him. On the night he plans to win her back, he's stopped by a small inconvenience—his own murder. Despite newfound hobbies of dodging demons and suffering the snarky demands of his deceased cat-turned-spirit guide, Victor is literally dead-set on finding out whodunit. With help from the woman he loves, of course.

When Victor’s spirit comes calling, Lacey thinks she's gone nuts. The last thing she needs is to be haunted by her love-sick ex. Surprisingly, she finds that Victor actually does make a good partner... in detective work. But will a supernatural helper be enough to prevent her own untimely demise?

Dear readers:

Here's something quite different we're releasing. I wrote a shifter comedy romance, and so, with Mom's blessings, published it under just my name. You'll find this story is PG, like our mysteries, and has quite a bit of humor.

Please enjoy! And have no fear, I'm co-writing more mysteries with Mom. Please see our latest mystery we just published last week, spotlighted in the previous blog post, A YEN FOR MURDER.

ABOUT:

Maycee Fox is fed up with dating vain men! They'd rather study their reflections in spoons than spend quality time with her. Being stuck in a secret society of foxes who can shape shift into drop-dead gorgeous people isn't helping matters either, since they are the epitome of vain. She needs out. When her ex dares her to find love with an Average Joe, she's ready to sink her canines into the challenge, if only to teach him a lesson. But when she stumbles upon Adam Lanning, a humble yet sexy mechanic, it's Maycee who's in for a lesson or two about vanity and true love.

Dear readers,

Mom and I have been busy writing! We just released our newest mystery, A YEN FOR MURDER, from the perspective of a Siamese cat. We hope you'll enjoy it. And as an update on what's next, we are feverishly writing THE HOWLIDAY INN, another Z & C Mystery, Book #6! So exciting. You will soon be able to pre-order THE HOWLIDAY INN and the next Siamese cat mystery, LIGHTS, CAMERA, MURDER through Amazon.

Love,

Claire

ABOUT:

On a sultry summer night in Santa Monica, the only thing hotter than the busy city streets is murder. Locals awake to the news that a club’s dancer has been strangled, and so a Siamese cat named Charli Chan takes to the streets to investigate. The Strangler leaves a calling card, one golden yen, and when more dancers receive the mysterious coins, panic grips the city. Charli can't resist tugging on every loose thread in the case—curiosity and cats, after all—and she enlists the help of her friend Malcolm, a Scottish terrier with identity issues. Together, they may just find the killer, but the cost to her glamorous human roommate, Harlow Reese, may be more than she is prepared to pay.
